What is Run Command in Windows ??

On the Microsoft Windows operating system, the Run command is used to directly open an application or document whose path is known. It functions more or less like a single-line command line interface.Starting with Windows 95, the Run command is accessible through the Start menu and also through the shortcut key. (Windows key + R). The input field in the dialog will show roughly 40-42 characters.Although the Run command is still present in Windows Vista and Windows 7, it no longer appears directly on the Start menu by default, in favor of the new search box and a shortcut to the Run command in the Accessories sub-menu.

I think many of us don’t know this feature of Run that is if you type url of any web page and press enter then it opens the webpage in our default web browser.

Recently one of my friend told me that he lost an important report which is written in word and asked me any way to recover it and i am help less at that moment because i don’t know any procedure to recover them,But now if he asks me i can surely help..And here is the procedure to recover unsaved word files

Step1:

Move to the word option[Microsoft Word 2007] from the word menu and shift to Advanced tab.



Stwp 2:

Find the “Save” submenu by scrolling down and  Look for “Always Create Back-up copy” and then “Allow background Saves”. This will help you re-store all your files instantly. The back-up files of word are saved as:- .wbk extension.

How To Open Any File in Command Prompt

You can open any file video,audio,notepad,image and any other file in the command prompt.Command prompt is the comman line interface of Windows.We now see how to open command prompt.Click on your start menu of your task bar and press cmd in the run and open it.Command prompt opens and will look like



By default the path in the prompt is set to C drive i.e you will see  this C:\>

Then you have to enter the path of the file i.e the address of the file in double quotes like this “C:\Folder name\File.ext” and then press enter you will get your file opened by the default program you are using for the file in your system.

And to change the drive from C to D you have to type ‘d:’ with out the quotes.

To Open a new notepad file in the command prompt be in any folder and type ‘notepad’ without quotes and press enter ..

To Open a new paint file press ‘mspaint’ without quotes and press enter and you will get your paint window.

A Trick For Windows 7

Back after a long time...Will be posting in future more frequently...
This is a trick for windows 7 ..I think you know that in windows 7 if you click on the windows explorer button which is on your task bar by default which looks like this.  By Clicking on that button by default it opens the libraries folder ..

But By applying this trick you can open the folder you want to open by clicking that button..Here is the trick.
Right click on the button so that you get the jump list and in that list you will get an option Windows Explorer

..Again right click on the Windows explorer and you will see a properties option just click it. There opens a dialogue box which has a ‘target’ named option and which is filled with the address of the libraries ..If you change the address and keep the address of your folder which you want to open.Here i kept the address of my D drive so the address is D:\  . That's all from now you can open your favorite folder by just clicking on it..

How to Format Ur Windows Computer & Install An OS(Operating system)

Spent lot of money for formatting your computer.Why to spend that much money if you can do it by your own..For doing this you just want to have the Operating system Installation CD with you which you can get it when you brought your system or you can download it from the list available  torrent sites available here .

Once you got that Installation CD by any means you can start formatting yours computer ..
So Let us start the tutorial..First keep the installation CD in to the DVD drive of your computer and restart it and when it is booting press F12 key on your keyboard and you can see the boot settings there if you system is a newly bought one if yours is old you have choose the boot settings tab appeared there and then finally you can see them..Change it so that you computer will boot from CD drive and not from the hard disk..And then reboot again by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del keys combinely  ..And after rebooting a dialogue appears on your screen saying that “Boot from CD press any key …” Then press any key on you keyboard and that’s all files from the cd will be loaded and you are asked to format the drive which you like to do. And then it ask you to install the OS and press install and set the time according your place and it takes around an hour to complete if you are installing Win XP and 45 min for Vista and just 15 to 20 min for Win 7..After installing OS you can install your favorite programs and then can enjoy …
The main reason for me to writing this post is that i have seen many guys spending lots of their money i think around 2 to 3 hundreds for just these stuff which was the price charged by the respective service guys..I thought it is just waste of our money so i did write this…..

A Way To Know Others Saved passwords

                  By Using this trick you can know saved passwords of others.Basically it is not a trick it is a option which many of us doesn’t take care unknowingly.For this you should have access to others computer directly..Actually what these saved passwords means is when you first entering your user name and password for logging in any website many browsers by default asks to save those username and password and many of us tell the browser to save it so that in future we can get it when we enter that website thinking that it will keep secure. But anyone can access those saved passwords unless he/she keeps a master password which may of us don’t know or forgets sometimes .So we can make their laziness as an advantage in making fun.I will tell you how to find these saved passwords in Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome .

For Mozilla Firefox:

First open Firefox and you can see the menu bar at the top of the browser with options like File Edit etc…At the end of the list you can find the Tools option  you just click it and you can see a drop down menu  like this
and at the end you can see the option ‘Options’ at the end of the menu and press it and now you can see a dialogue box like this and click on the Security tab at the top of the box an then the Saved Passwords Button at the right bottom of the box which you can see in the figure .. Now you will get another dialogue box in which you will have all the saved usernames with respective website Urls and by clicking the show Passwords button at the right corner you can see the passwords with their respective usernames..  But first keep a master password for your browser before you check for others  passwords b’coz others may check yours …

For Google Chrome:

In the same way as for Firefox you have to open the chrome first and then you should click on the  setting icon which will be at the top right corner of the browser window .  Then you will get a dropdown menu and you should click on the ‘Options’ and you will get a dialogue box as shown ..I think now you can see the passwords block and the ‘Show saved Passwords’ button and you just click on the button and you will get another dialogue box with usernames and respective website Urls .Select the website in which you want to know the password and click the option ‘Show password’  which will be active only when you selects a site and you can get the password below the Show password Button ..
I think you can get these passwords for every browser .If some one wants for some specific browser you can post a comment then i will give them the specific information ..Guys but be careful and first set a master password for your browser ..

Email with Images

Every one receives forwarded emails every day many of them have images in it.By seeing them some think why can’t we create a mail and start by collecting images and tries to paste them in the mail and will be shocked by knowing that they can’t paste images in to mails from their computers.Those who have faced this situation and are waiting for the solution can scroll down and find their solution and those who started thinking now can take their own time and can scroll down…….
There are many methods for making this kind of mails…..

Method 1:

This method will be working only if your images are already uploaded in the web and have a link to access.Now paste the link in the address bar of your browser and wait for the image to appear and then copy the image by right clicking on it and clicking on the copy Image option and then open a new mail and then press Ctrl+V and get your image pasted in your mail .Here is one image which is already uploaded to the web See it .And one important thing while pasting it is your mail should be in rich text format.

Method 2:

If your image is not uploaded to web ??I think now you can guess the way is to upload it to web and get its url .But How??   This also has many ways to get our work done .You can upload it to photo sharing sites like Picasa , Flickr and to Google Docs etc..But the above process will be included in creating an account and sharing the images with public etc….You can the direct url here by this method, You just have to upload your image here and you will get the url for your image..Now follow the method 1.

Method 3:

And for those technical freaks who struggle for creating things with their own hands, they may happy with this king-sized method…In this we creates a html page and open that in browser and here we create an automated method  to run this by creating a batch file.

### Creating the email (repeat for each email)
1. Compose a new rich text Gmail email.
to. From windows explorer double click on album.html to open it in a new browser window.
3. Use the menu Edit/Select All or Ctrl-A to select the entire contents of album.html.
4. Use the menu Edit/Copy or Ctrl-C to copy the contents to the clipboard.
5. Click in the body of the new Gmail email and use the menu Edit/Paste or Ctrl-V to paste the contents into the body of the new email.

               Every One sends E(electronic)mails every day.It became a part in our lives and we cant imagine a day with out reading mails and sending mails. So Today am going to give some tips for effectively sending mails.

Cc :

I Think every has seen the 2 options ‘Cc:’ & ‘Bcc:’ below the ‘To:’ box where we types the email address of the recipient .Do you ever thought of those 2 ??
Now let me tell about them. Those are very useful while sending mails to a group of people. If you want to send mail to a person and also let some other to know that you have send a mail to that person then you should write the email id of that person in ‘To:’ box and some others ids in ‘Cc:’ box.  

Bcc:

It is abbreviation for Blond Carbon Copy.Blind carbon copy refers to the practice of sending a message to multiple recipients in such a way that conceals individual email addresses (mentioned in "to" field of the mail) from the complete list of recipients.
There are a number of reasons for using this feature:

• BCC is often used to prevent an accidental "Reply All" from sending a reply intended for only the originator of the message to the entire recipient list.


• To send a copy of one's correspondence to a third party (for example, a colleague) when one does not want to let the recipient know that this is being done (or when one does not want the recipient to know the third party's e-mail address, assuming the other recipient is in the To: or Cc: fields).


• To send a message to multiple parties with none of them knowing the other recipients. This can be accomplished by addressing a message to oneself and filling in the actual intended recipients in the Bcc: field. However, this does not ensure that the Bcc: addresses will be hidden from other Bcc: addresses in all implementations.


• When sending an e-mail to multiple recipients, one can hide their e-mail addresses from each other. This is a sensible anti-spam precaution because it avoids making a long list of e-mail addresses available to all the recipients (which is what happens if one were to put everyone's address in the To: or Cc: fields). For this reason, it often makes sense to use the Bcc: field for mailing lists. Some viruses also harvest e-mail addresses from users' cache folder or address book, and large CC lists may further the propagation of unwanted viruses, giving another reason to use Bcc:.

Signature:

Many of have a habit of writing our name at the end of the email so that who receives our mail can see that he/she had sent the mail. But writing our name and details every time is a tough job .The solution for this in Gmail is the Signature option .You can get this option in the settings option which is at the top of the Gmail page. Once you click on this settings button you can get general tab of settings if you scroll down you can see a option like this                 and you can check the radio button and write your signature..From now every mail which you compose will have your signature at the end of the mail..

Archive:

Getting irritated of seeing thousands of mails in your Inbox and fearing of losing some important stuff if you delete them .Then this the correct solution .There is a method called Achieving in Gmail…This thing can store your mails in separate folder called Archive and it doesn’t show you in your Inbox from now. Select all the mails in the Inbox or select those mails which you want to store and click on the Archive button .               Now can see your empty Inbox .
