This a trick which help you to customize your start menu in windows and have fly-out menus to your start menu.And here is how a fly-out menu looks like .

And you can add fly out menus to My Computer,Control panel,My Documents,Music,Games,Recent Items ..To add follow these steps

Step 1: Right click on the start menu you will get properties option and click on it .

Step 2: After clicking on properties you will get a dialogue box showing you some customizations which you can do to your start menu.Click on the customize option.

Step 3:Now you will see all the items which you have and can have in start menu.If you want to have fly-out menus you have just change the option to show as menu from the default option.

Step 4:Now click on Ok and click on your start menu you can see the fly-out menus in it.
